Gregorio Belinchón Yagüe from EL PAÍS names NINA one of the 20 best films of 2024, in his own words:

Today I'm here to talk about my book. Actually, today I'm here to drop - yes, me too - the best of the year list. Which a week ago could have been a different one. And tomorrow, too. I've made some decisions beforehand: I won't give you too much of a hard time (short paragraphs with each title of the 20), it will be in alphabetical order (because, sometimes, what differentiates one film from another in a ranking? Tenths, thousandths? ) and I have followed the rule of “only commercial releases in Spain”:Having said all this, let's get started.

Nina (Andrea Jaurrieta). Another Spanish film that should have had more echo. If it had been American, we would now be talking about one of the wésterns of 2024. A woman's revenge against her abuser is born from a classic, The Seagull, and from an eye, Jaurrieta's, who knows well how to capture her filmic ideas on screen, such as that metaphorical use of the color red. Oh, and once again Patricia López Arnaiz. As a bonus, the music by Zeltia Montes.
