Marlon Cruz, a young Colombian, is motivated by his girlfriend Reina to leave his comfortable life in Medellín to follow her dream of a new life in the United States. The two embark on their voyage through Guatemala and Mexico; the welltrodden and brutal path of most Latin-American immigrants to the U.S. A journey through seedy strip clubs, dance halls, homeless hostels, and the streets of Jackson Heights ultimately leads Marlon to a place he could never have predicted.
